SIMOPS - simultaneous operations - clash control detects permits whose work overlaps in time and place in combinations that must not coexist, for example hot work near flammable exposure or confined-space entry. Critical combinations block approval outright until they are resolved; lesser ones surface as warnings during planning.

A critical clash is a combination of overlapping work that must never coexist on site. When one is detected, approval is hard-blocked until it is resolved - the permit cannot be approved around it. Lesser overlaps are raised as warnings for the coordinator to manage. The block applies even when the two permits belong to different companies.

AI assistance is optional everywhere it appears, and every project has an off switch; permits are always assessed and approved by people. AI inference runs through Anthropic's Claude API under terms that prohibit training on your data, with the application and your data in the EU. Where a project brings in third-party (contractor) AI, it has its own toggle and spend cap.
