About the company.

Who Stomwerk is, what it builds, and who it is for.

What is Stomwerk?

Stomwerk is a software company in Stockholm, Sweden. It builds the structure beneath successful work as software: change governance and permit-to-work for capital projects (stomwerk projekt), and brand-governed content production for marketing teams (stomwerk scale). It ships three products - Change Intelligence, Work Permit Intelligence and stomwerk content - all running on one platform.

What does the name "Stomwerk" mean?

It comes from the Swedish word stomverk, the load-bearing framework of a building - the structure everything else is fixed to. Stomwerk builds that structure for work: the governed routes, records and controls that let projects and teams move quickly without losing the plot.

Is Stomwerk a software company or a consultancy?

A software company. Stomwerk is a product business - you use the software directly, self-serve for stomwerk content and provisioned per organisation for the projekt products. It is not a services or consulting firm, although the products encode a lot of hard-won practice.

Who is Stomwerk for?

Two audiences. stomwerk projekt is for the owners, EPCMs and contractors who deliver capital projects - the people who raise, assess and approve change, and who run permit-to-work on live sites. stomwerk scale is for marketing and brand teams who need to produce more content without losing the brand.

Disciplines and platform.

How the two disciplines, the shared platform and the product subdomains fit together.

What are stomwerk projekt and stomwerk scale?

They are Stomwerk's two disciplines. stomwerk projekt is software for capital-project delivery: Change Intelligence and Work Permit Intelligence. stomwerk scale is software for marketing teams: stomwerk content. The disciplines are always written in lowercase.

What is the stomwerk platform?

The platform, at platform.stomwerk.com, is the shared account, sign-in and billing layer the products run on. You manage your organisation, users and plan there; each product then runs on its own subdomain - change.stomwerk.com, wpi.stomwerk.com and engine.stomwerk.com.

Do the products share one account?

Yes. One Stomwerk account and organisation gives access to whichever products you are entitled to, managed from the platform. You sign in once and open the products you have.

Can we use more than one product?

Yes. The products are sold and billed per product, so you can take one or several. Many projekt customers run Change Intelligence and Work Permit Intelligence together; stomwerk content is a separate, self-serve scale product.

Choosing a product.

The three products at a glance, and how to tell which one fits. Each has its own detailed FAQ, linked at the foot of the page.

What are Stomwerk's three products?

Change Intelligence is change governance for capital projects - one controlled route from change notice to assessed, approved change.

Work Permit Intelligence is permit-to-work and SIMOPS clash control for live industrial sites.

stomwerk content is brand-governed content production for marketing teams.

Which product is right for us?

If you deliver or govern capital projects and need change under control, start with Change Intelligence. If you run live industrial sites, shutdowns or brownfield work with many employers, choose Work Permit Intelligence. If you are a marketing or brand team producing content at volume, choose the stomwerk content.

Are the products actually live?

Yes. All three products are live and in production today, each on its own subdomain, hosted in the EU.

Buying and pricing.

How Stomwerk is sold, billed and taxed.

How much does Stomwerk cost?

Plans are published at stomwerk.com/pricing. stomwerk content is self-serve, with Solo and Team tiers from EUR 19 to EUR 399 a month - seats, AI allowance and EU storage included in every tier. Change Intelligence and Work Permit Intelligence are licensed per organisation and invoiced.

How do we buy - self-serve or through sales?

stomwerk content is self-serve: create an account at engine.stomwerk.com and subscribe - plans renew monthly until cancelled, and you can cancel anytime from your account. Change Intelligence and Work Permit Intelligence are provisioned per organisation - write to [email protected] or start a conversation, and Stomwerk sets up your organisation, projects or sites and first users.

Is billing per user?

Change Intelligence and Work Permit Intelligence are licensed per organisation, not per seat, so adding the right people to a change register or a permit board does not increase the bill. stomwerk content is tiered: Solo tiers include one seat and Team tiers include 5 to 20, with extra users available as an add-on - see stomwerk.com/pricing.

What currency and taxes apply?

Stomwerk AB is a Swedish company and bills in line with EU VAT rules; VAT is shown and handled at checkout for the self-serve product and on invoices for provisioned plans. Payment is processed by Stripe.

Can we pay by invoice or annually?

Provisioned projekt plans are arranged directly and can be invoiced. For the self-serve stomwerk content, see the current options at stomwerk.com/pricing or ask at [email protected].

Can we cancel?

Yes. Self-serve plans can be cancelled from the platform; provisioned plans follow the terms agreed with your organisation. The terms are published at stomwerk.com/terms.

Security and data.

Where your data lives, how it is protected, and the legal shelf behind it.

Where is our data hosted?

In the EU. The applications and database run in Frankfurt, with stomwerk content assets in EU-jurisdiction object storage. Stomwerk AB is a Swedish company operating under Swedish law and the GDPR.

Is Stomwerk GDPR compliant?

Yes. Stomwerk is built for the GDPR: EU-resident hosting, a published Data Processing Agreement, a public subprocessor register, and data export and deletion on request. The DPA and register are on the legal shelf.

Will you sign a Data Processing Agreement?

Yes. A standard Data Processing Agreement is published at stomwerk.com/dpa and forms part of the terms. If your organisation needs its own paper, start a conversation.

Who are your subprocessors?

The full list is published and kept current at stomwerk.com/subprocessors: hosting (Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare), AI inference (Amazon Bedrock and Anthropic), payments (Stripe), transactional email (Resend) and analytics (Plausible), each with its processing location and transfer mechanism. Workspace owners get 30 days notice of changes.

Is our data kept separate from other customers?

Yes. Every organisation is a separate tenant with role-based membership, and access is scoped so people see only what their role and organisation allow - including contractor confidentiality where several companies share one project.

Do you use our data to train AI models?

No. Your content and project data are not used to train AI models. AI inference runs through providers under agreements that prohibit training on your prompts and outputs, and prompts are processed transiently rather than retained for training.

AI and the EU AI Act.

How Stomwerk uses AI - as an assistant, under human control, and switchable off.

How does Stomwerk use AI?

As an assistant, never as the decision-maker. AI drafts change notices and assessments in Change Intelligence, and plans and produces content in stomwerk content - always grounded in your own project or brand, and always reviewed and approved by a person.

Can we switch the AI off?

Yes. Every product with an AI feature has a per-workspace off switch, and the manual path is always available and identical. Where a project brings in third-party (contractor) AI, that gets its own toggle and spend cap.

Does the AI make decisions for us?

No. People assess, approve and publish. The AI proposes drafts from your own facts; the judgement stays with your team, and there is a full record of who decided what.

How do you handle the EU AI Act?

The products are built for the AI Act's transparency expectations: AI assistance is disclosed, human review is built into every flow, and AI can be turned off. Content produced with AI is handled with the Act's transparency obligations in mind.

Access and support.
